Dianna and I had an interesting trip getting to and from the wedding.

Sunday we got to the airport and our flight was delayed. Pilot said that it was because of weather. Planes were being diverted to other airports. This was coming from the air traffic controllers, not him.  Our plane got off OK but we missed our connecting flight in Detroit. They had had beautiful weather all day and none of the flights had trouble taking off all day. Dianna rescheduled our flight. First she checked at the self- rescheduling screens. The man there explained that she could see one of the attendants and try to change to a better flight. He gave her two coupon books. I had waited in line. Dianna talked to the attendant who said the best she could do was put us on a direct flight at 11 on Monday morning. She gave us two more coupon books. We would not be able to get our luggage.

We had to pay for the hotel in Norfolk. And we called the number the airline gave us to get a discounted room in Detroit. They were full but we could call back in a half hour. We used two of the $10 food coupons and got dinner at the airport.

The hotel had an open room. We took the shuttle there. Checked in and I watched a "Harry Potter" movie.

The next morning we used the second set of $10 coupons and ate breakfast at the hotel. We took the shuttle to the airport. Our flight was delayed a bit while the airline found a stewardess and a pilot. We arrived in Norfolk at 1 PM? Got a rental car and went to our hotel. Showered, dressed and went to Nathan's ate some tasty sausages for lunch and Dianna went to work taking pictures of the bride. I kept Vivi busy.

Then we went to the park. I pushed Vivi in the stroller and held her while Dianna took lots of pictures. It was a beautiful wedding. Tom and John Feick, Bridget, Carl, Brittany, Tristan, Donny, Alison were the others from the Feick family attending the wedding.

Was a very nice reception at the base. Excellent food. Good time had by all. Tristan tired himself out dancing.

We went back to the hotel and promptly went to bed. We ate at the hotel the next morning then joined the Feicks at the I-Hop and visited while they ate. Afterwards we went to the botanical garden and drove along the shore then went to the airport.  Flight home was only delayed a few minutes. They lost the baby's carseat. Well, not exactly. It was left in Detroit when the plane stopped there. But they gave Dianna a brand new one that she gets to keep and will ship her the old one.
