Happier than God by Neale Donald Walsch

" I have just said that that "attraction" is a tool that this tool was created by God, and that the tool has been given to us to use with God.

I have also said that it is most effective when used for the purpose for which it was intended...to create a happy, peaceful, joyous life for everyone whose life you touch, and for you, in that order."

"The way to move out of judgment is to move into gratitude."

pg 67

When gratitude replaced judgment, peace spreads throughout your body, gentleness embraces your soul, wisdom fills your mind. Let gratitude replace judgment and your whole experience of life will take a turn for the better in five seconds."

pg 69

What you resist, persists. That is because, by your continued attention to it in a negative way, you continue to place it there. You cannot resist something that is not there. When you resist something, you place it there. By focusing angry or frustrated energy on it, you actually give it more life.

This is why all great masters have urged us to 'resist not evil.' Do not fight that which is opposite to your stated desire or your preferred outcome. Rather, relax into it."

pg 77

1. Nothing in this world is real.

2. The meaning of everything is the meaning I give it.

3. I am who I say I am, and my experience is what I say it is.

pg 85

There are really only tow basic questions to ask in life:

1. What can I give to another?

2. What can I give to myself?

It is important to never reverse the order of the questions.

pg 104

God explained:

'All things are One Thing. There is only One Thing, and All Things are part of the One Thing That Is.

'Therefore, what you do for another, you do for yourself; and what you fail to do for another, you fail to do for yourself.'

The reverse is also true. What you do for yourself, you do for another; and what you fail to do for yourself, you fail to do for another. (that is why it has so often been said, 'If you cannot love yourself, you cannot love anotehr.')

But now comes a huge part of the 'mystery formula' for how life works. Now comes...

The Multiplier Effect.

By focusing on yourself you limit the amount of energy that you output, because there is only one of you. Yet by focusing on others you multiply the amount of energy you output by the number of others with whom you do so.

God and We Are One

pg 112

In this holy trinity - God in three parts - your mind is where your conscious activity takes place. therefore, think only what you choose to experience, say only what you choose to make real, and use your mind to consciously instruct your body to do only what you choose to demonstrate as your highest reality. This is how you create at the conscious level.

Look at this closely. Is this not what every master has done? Has any master done more? No. In a word, no.

pg 123

Calling everything "perfect" is not the same as calling everything "wonderful."...It is, therefore, very okay to observe previously created conditions, circumstances, or possibilities that do not please you, to take responsibility for your role in co-creating them, to speak a word of gratitude for their existence, and then to choose again, creating another condition or circumstance, without judgment or condemnation. ("Judge not, and neither condemn.")

pg 134

The act of "creation" is simply the act of tuning into the vibration of that which already exists in the All of Everything, which attunement draws it to you. You are not really "creating" anything, but merely noticing that it has already been created, and magnetizing it - or attracting it.

pg 160

Paying attention to the energies and the vibes of life may cause you to change your diet, change your reading habits, change what you watch on television and at the movies, change what you wear, change the way you talk...even change the company you keep.

Welcome these changes. They are the beginning steps on the journey to joy.

pg 233

Dear God, I thank you today for that which is in my world and in my life. I rest my heart in the knowing that I will yet see pain turn into joy, sorrow into gladness, and even death into everlasting life.

Thank you, God, for helping me to understand that this problem has already been solved for me.
