Interesting book by Rachel Verdon. She says that Lyme disease was Russian bacterial warfare. It was brought here when they dumped furs on the American fur market. It fits the Conspiracy Theory stuff that is on the Internet. One of the points she makes is Lyme is not a new disease, it was just investigated more thoroughly and named for the spirochete that was found but there are many spirochetes in ticks and fleas. She says the disease is mainly spread by rats and mice, not deer.
