He was using this equipment experimentally in his practice under the University of Hawaiii research department (or something like that.) This was when computers were still all using DOS so it has been a few years back...
• I put most of this website together about 2008 so alot of the links are old. I looked at the library in books and on the web to find sources of people using the technology.

Computerized health dowsing can be amazing....

I had an Avatar by VeraDyne and two other CEDS devices. I have also been screened by a BioMeridian. By far, I liked the Avatar the best because it provided the most useful information and was not product based. I no longer do CEDS screenings which I did as a hobby for several years.

I had alot of fun using the Avatar! You could add anything to the database. So I did. I took Hanna Kroeger's books and added a protocol based on her books.

I had a crash course on using CEDS with equipment that I gave away. You do need to be careful if you buy this equipment. The company I bought the first set of equipment is no longer in business. The equipment software was developed using DOS but they had updated it for Windows. It crashed. Over and over again. I was in tears trying to use it. They eventually did get it working but by then I had moved on to using the Avatar. Here are some of the mind blowing screenings I did:

A Case of Fatigue in a body builder...

I was demonstrating CEDS (Avatar) at a Health Food Store. The equipment was new and I was doing it to get practice using it. An extremely good looking guy sat down for a free screening. He said he had been a body builder but since he got sick he lost over 50 pounds. He was nauseous all the time. He was on medication so he wouldn't throw up. He had to quit his last job and worked when he could for a plumber. He also got headaches. The headaches didn't bother him nearly as much as feeling like he would vomit all the time. He was heading for the Cleveland Clinic soon.

I screened him. He was in very good health. Some organs were a little off but nothing with digestion. What I did find were chemicals. A couple of solvents and creosote. Right then he said he had a ventless gas heater at home in the basement where he worked out. I didn't know enough about these heaters until I did some research on the Internet which I promptly mailed to him.

I did tell him I knew about one case of an elderly woman ending up in the hospital because the tenant in the apartment above used a ventless kerosene heater.

What I found on the Internet was very informative. You need to search on "ventless" and "vomiting" or a combination like that or you just find sales sites.

A ventless heater uses your whole house like a chimney. It gives off water which can create mold problems. Directions say to crack open a window when using but I doubt if anyone does that. People around here use these heaters to cut down on their heating bills. The ones that look like gas logs that are supposed to look like a fireplace - do not burn cleanly if the flame isn't blue. If it looks like real logs burning with yellow flames it definitely should be vented. The biggest problem for many is carbon monoxide. One person posted that they put carbon monoxide detectors in the same room and another room of the house and they both went off within a couple hours. Another big problem with these is the soot. Some people get soot covering everything in the house AND some get a case of black lung just like coal miner's get.

The symptoms are many - breathing problems, nausea, vomiting, headaches, listlessness...

I didn't follow up with him. Since he had an appointment with the Cleveland Clinic, they could easily address his health problems if further testing shows that the heater was the problem.

A Case of Osteoporosis

My sister was seeing a physician for osteoporosis. I screened her and came up with her body was not absorbing the vitamins adequately. She went back to her physician who tested her blood for vitamin deficiencies and prescribed vitamin D.

A Case of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

One female had been to a Cleveland clinic that specifically treats CFS (2003). It was expensive. They sent her away with lots of supplements. It didn't help. I screened her in 2004 with Avatar. I found 22 items that indicated that she could have a systemic yeast overgrowth. Told her to go to her physician and request that he look at that. She didn't. She still had CFS in 2008.

A Case of Fatigue from Chemical Toxicity

I screened a woman (11/2008) who said she had CFS for three years but she didn't have enough of the markers to be diagnosed with it. Her physician did test her for Epstein Barr which came out positive. I screened her with CEDS and found Epstein Barr but also chemical toxicity. Then I screened specific chemicals. I came up with four. All four chemicals were used in farming. Her eyes got wide when I named them. She recognised the names. She lives on a farm and they store the chemicals in the basement. She said she will talk to her spouse about moving the chemicals out of the basement to another building. She was already under the care of a doctor and she could bring this to his attention.

A Case of Alcoholic Abuse at Home

I was demonstrating the Avatar at the health food store. A young man sat down. I knew his name but that was really all I knew about him. I screened him and "Alcohol or Drug Abuse at Home" came up. I hesitated to tell him that but I did. His eyes got wide and he said "both of my parents are alcoholics!"

A Really Weird Case

I have done CEDS for fun and I made a database out of Hanna Kroeger's books. A friend of mine sat down and for fun I used that database. "Satanic entities" came up. Her eyes got wide and she said "Yes! That's it!" She had gone to a garage sale and this evil looking man was there. There had been a report of a man in the area who did black arts and may be involved in some crimes. She said she had felt awful ever since. I used a technique I learned in hypnosis class. We learned never to question the client but to just go with what comes up. So I did a "satanic entity clearing". She said she felt alot better that it felt like a nasty cloud of energy left her.

Screening at a meeting

I took my Avatar equipment to a meeting and did limited screening on everyone there - 8 people.

One was a farmer who had helped his father spray DDT as a child. He wanted to know if DDT was still in his system. It came up positive when I screened him so the energy of DDT still affects him... But this is an energy screening so I explained to him that it doesn't mean that he still has any DDT in his body.

  Two of the people screened as being sensitive to grains. One to all the grains. The other to every grain but popcorn - she said they haven't eaten any in years. They had already had allergy testing by their physician so this just verified what they already knew.

Screening "healthy" people

My computer equipment bit the dust and my Avatar was accidentally damaged beyond repair. I started working full time and saw an ad for an Asyra. I emailed a group in the UK who had one and they wrote back that it was a wonderful machine and they liked it much better than the BioMeridian that they used to have.

What attracted me was the fast readings. Three minutes! Cool. Since I started working fulltime I no longer had time for all my hobbies. So I bought the Asyra.

Granted, my only training is the videos that came with it and my playing with the Avatar. But I've mainly been disappointed with it. It is quick. People misinterpret the reading and think I'm diagnosing. It is energy imbalances, not a diagnosis! If the energy of a tooth is off, it is the energy of the meridian. It doesn't mean you need to go to the dentist. It could be an emotional issue! I found that it pushes products more than I like. With the Avatar I could add anything I wanted to the database. With the Asyra, you can only add products that you have a sample of.

With the Avatar, the screenings were more specific. First you went over a number of main catagories then would go from there.

With the Asyra, you just picked the general screening and let it go. It is set up to pick out one main item from the different catagories. It just works very differently from the Avatar.

The Avatar and the BioMeridian need a hydrated body and use water to make good electrical contact. This was a problem when I used it on a man with extremely calloused hands. The Asyra is used with dry contacts. I got much better information using the Avatar than the Asyra. If you are using equipment in your health practice, which equipment you would want to use would depend on the type of information you want and whether your clients can sit for very long.

Asyra screenings

I screened a man who felt he was perfectly healthy other than some toenail fungus. Food sensitivities came up for nearly everything he eats. He felt the screening was crazy because he has no symptoms and is in perfect health. (Asyra)

My explanation is:

Think of your body as having a health "barrel". As long as the toxins, allergies, etc. do not fill the barrel, you feel great. The body can cope with a partially filled barrel. But then something upsetting happens or an accident, your barrel is suddenly filled to overflowing. Maybe you can't get rid of what caused it to overflow but you can remove some of the items that were filling it earlier but gave you no symptoms. As soon as you remove the foods that cause the sensitivities, it may be enough to lower the toxic load for the body. When the other problems also decrease, you can go back to eating the foods that came up on the screening because now the barrel won't be overflowing.

Also, toenail fungus could be a sign of overall fungal overgrowth in the body which can cause leaky gut syndrome. Some of the foods that you are eating are leaking into the rest of the body which treats the food as an invader and maybe is creating an IgG allergic response or something similar. If you get rid of the fungus overgrowth, that also will improve your digestion and the food sensitivities can "go away". Nancy Appleton has an excellent book on the subject Stopping Inflammation.

Also, even though your body may be showing food sensitivities, it is able to cope with them at this time so you have no symptoms.

Or maybe he is right and the screening is crazy. But isn't it odd that with all the foods that could have come up, it came up with the foods that he eats all the time?

The screening was wrong!

I screened a woman and it came up with one of her vertebrae being out of alignment. I suggested that she do some stretching exercises. She got it checked out by her chiropractor and he found nothing. Therefore she told me that the screening is all wrong and unreliable. (Asyra)

My explanation is:

The screenings have been found to be very accurate for people but not 100%. For some people the accuracy is very high - maybe 98%. For many others, much less, maybe 80%. It is not a medical test. It is an energy screening. The energy can be off and there is nothing physically wrong! That is why you do not rely on this but always get a standard medical test done if anything comes up that could be even the least bit serious.

As far as her vertebrae being out of alignment:

1. It could have been out of alignment when she was screened but moved back into place before she saw the chiropractor.

2. It could fall into that 2-20% inaccurate screening.

3. The energy of her spine was off and it was never a physical problem.

Autism screening

I used the Asyra and screened an autistic child. Other than a problem with eggs, it didn't find anything to give the parents any guidance. I was very disappointed. Perhaps if I had more experience and had put together a screening for autism, I would have gotten better results.

I've also screened some people and the results were much worse than the 80% accuracy. My explanation... some people just don't screen well. Use your God-given common sense. If it seems wrong, it probably is! If it is coming up with bacteria that don't make sense, then it is probably wrong! On the other hand, if it comes up with something that could explain the symptoms you are having, then take the findings directly to you physician and have him check it out!

The purpose of this site is to introduce the public to computerized electrodermal screening (CEDS) which may provide the answers to why you don't feel well. This technology has been in use for decades. Practitioners and technicians can be found in nearly every country. In my opinion, this equipment could drastically reduce the cost of medicine by improving the physician's ability to more quickly arrive at a proper diagnosis and prescribe medications with the greatest benefits and fewest side effects. It is highly versatile and can be used for many health-related purposes including allergy/sensitivity screening, mental health screening, drug screening, energy screening, and more. 

The equipment has been slow to be accepted by mainstream medicine. In spite of double blind studies that have shown this equipment to be as reliable as many medical tests, it is used in very few M.D. and D.O. medical practices.  The equipment is mostly found in chiropractic and independent technician offices. As good as the equipment is, however, it cannot work as a substitute for a physician. A thorough screening using CEDS provides information, a great deal of information, and it takes someone trained in the medical field to be able to use that information to come up with a proper treatment for your health problems. A technician can use the equipment to work to balance your energy fields using homeopathic remedies. In many instances, this is enough to aid your body in healing itself. 

The problem with the equipment is that it does not work by normal scientific means. Quantum physics is uncovering the reasons why this equipment works. At this time, scientific explanations of why the equipment works are inadequate but I have provided you with the best explanation I have found at this time. The equipment also screens thousands of items. There will never be enough double blind studies to cover all the items that can be screened.

What matters most is that the equipment works and works extremely well. The new equipment is becoming faster and its accuracy is being proven as more and more studies are being done.
