French Dressing

Mrs. Loudenslagel was a good friend of Anita Gundlach Feick
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1½ cups oil
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- ½ tsp pepper
- Place in a quart jar and shake - clove of garlic may be added if
desired.
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp mustard powder
- 2 tbsp cider
vinegar
- 1 cup oil
- Put egg, salt, mustard, and vinegar in blender with 1/2 cup oil.
- Blend on low, uncover, and slowly but steadily pour in remaining
oil. Atmospheric conditions will occasionally cause mayonnaise to
curdle as you're making it. If this should happen, remove it from
blender, put another egg into the blender, turn it on, and slowly
pour in curdled mayonnaise. Yield: 1-1/4 cups
