You are visiting Barbara Feick Gregory's Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Website

Looking and finding answers about the epidemic of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) or Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIS). Now that we've got it, what do we do about it?

I had it in 2002 - as I update my website in 2008, not much has changed. Most doctors still can't treat it successfully....they "manage" it. I don't know about you, but I don't want my illness "managed", I want to recover! I did recover, you can, too!

Note to Internet readers:

You may find the information presented on this site to be a bit overwhelming. When I had CFS, I was exhausted but I had enough energy to sit at the computer and go through library books. I found everything I could on CFS and put references to everything (no matter how strange) on this site. If anyone used anything and got well or better, I put it here.

Whatever the exact cause, you have a depressed immune system. Nystatin is the drug of choice if your problem is a systemic yeast overgrowth. (Take the candida spit test!) There is one other drug that helps with the symptoms. But the drugs are not magic bullets. It will take a lifestyle change, dealing with toxic emotions and other toxins, and building up the health of the body to effect a cure.

There are a few physicians and chiropractors out there who have gotten CFS themselves and had to figure out their own cure. There are a few others who are also naturopaths or practice "alternative medicine". Any of these would make a good choice for your health care provider.

Treatment for CFS, however, tends to be expensive. Most of the physicians order lots of tests and treat with massive amounts of nutritional supplements and vitamins. Insurance does not cover much, if any, of the treatment. I would recommend that you find a chiropractor who can screen for fungus, allergies, etc. I recommend computerized electro dermal screening (CEDS) and applied kinesiology.

Three cases of women with CFS who were screened with CEDS.

One female had been to a Cleveland clinic that specifically treats CFS (2003). It was expensive. They sent her away with lots of supplements. It didn't help. She was screened using the Avatar 2004. 22 items were found that indicated that she could have a systemic yeast overgrowth. It was recommended that she go to her physician and request that he look at that. She never did. She still has CFS (2014).

A woman (11/2008) said she had CFS for three years but she didn't have enough of the markers to be diagnosed with it. Her physician did test her for Epstein Barr which came out positive. She was screened with CEDS and found Epstein Barr but also chemical toxicity. Four specific chemicals came up. All four chemicals were used in farming. She lives on a farm and they store the chemicals in the basement. She said she will talk to her spouse about moving the chemicals out of the basement to another building.

Another woman with CFS (2010) was screened. Other than mild dehydration of recent origin there was nothing physically wrong. She was screened for emotions. Bingo! Don't discount years of negative emotions; they can and do cause all kinds of illnesses!

CFS is NOT imaginary
